About Christina

Christina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience in the social work
field. Her passion is to help others reach their maximum level of happiness and independence.

Christina is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); a therapeutic approach that helps with
increasing insight and correcting long-standing interpersonal patterns and conflicts. CBT has been shown
to be effective in treating, but not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
and Eating Disorders. The focus of treatment is on your identified problems and personal goals.

Most recently, she served as a primary therapist at Somerset Medical Center's Eating Disorder Unit
working with adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with
Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating and Body Image Issues. She has also been a Team Leader and
Case Manager at the Mental Health Association of Essex County (MHAEC) where she worked with clients
coping with severe and persistent mental illnesses.  Her motivation to work with adolescents
began when she interned at an inpatient psychiatric unit dedicated to the treatment of children and
adolescents.

Stated by Christina:
"Starting therapy takes a great deal of courage and work. Your time, life experiences and trust are very
valuable. I will work with you to achieve your optimal level of functioning.  I utilize a combination of active
listening, feedback, challenging you to learn and humor during a typical session. There is no better time
then the present to begin to make changes!"
